Translation

When the war in Ukraine began and most people evacuated, Sky was one of the few animals left behind.
At the same time, there were people who made the incredibly difficult decision to stay.
Among them were these two local veterinarians who took the risk to help animals who desperately needed saving too.
But it wasn't hard to imagine what he had gone through, given his poor living conditions and incredibly scary health state that he was in.
He had opened his mouth years.
He had no home and no family.
Our new rescue dog Sky will have a very, very important day because today he will have surgery, and we hope so, hope so, that everything went well.
When they found Sky, they realized he wasn't going to just need somewhere safe to stay.
He's going to need an actual miracle to survive and successfully undergo a jaw reconstruction surgery.
And after three years, he was finally able to open his jaw.
Sky had to figure out how to use it again, how to move his jaw, how to pick up food, how to actually chew.
Things that seemed so ordinary for other dogs became big milestones for Sky.
And so every little bite is huge progress.
Now he's well on his way to getting back every little piece of doghood he missed.
