I'll explain why this is an important historical site, and then afterwards, I'll take a look around the town of Salisbury, which is nearby.

Now, you might be kind of wondering, like, what's the big deal with these rocks?

What's why there's so many people who have come here to see.

Well, let me try to explain.

First of all, these rocks are extremely old, so they're more than five thousand years old.

Some people put them even older than that seven thousand, eight thousand years old.

So Stonehenge is actually older than the pyramids in Egypt, right?

The other reason it's such an important place is that it's it's a bit of a mystery, actually.

So there are two kinds of stones here at Stonehenge.

There are two types of stones.

There are the big sarsen stones, okay.

The current theory is that they took these bluestones all the way from Wales, okay, not only Wales but the far west side of Wales.

You see, you actually drive past Stonehenge.

They think that Stonehenge was built in stages.

But the mystery really is, really there are two mysteries.

The main theory right now is that they rolled the stones here.

I think on wooden logs, for example, they maybe had a lot of wooden logs, and they rolled the stones here.

As for the bluestones from Wales, they think that they rolled them to the sea, and they brought them here by boat through the sea, and then up the river Avon.

They they took the stones on a boat up the river Avon, and then they rolled them here.

So that's the main theory of how they got these stones here.

Right now, of course, there are some alternative theories as well.

Some people believe that there was an ancient advanced civilization, meaning that there was really advanced civilization that we don't know about, and that that's how they managed to build this Stonehenge.

The reason that some people believe that Stonehenge was built by an advanced, an ancient advanced civilization is because they seem to know about the position of the sun, and they have positioned the stones perfectly so that.

We don't really know.

Also, did you know that during these summer solstices here, they have a big party here?

And they also do the same thing on the winter solstice as well.

And on the winter solstice, they also have a big party here.

And so, two times a year, there's like a big sort of party here at Stonehenge.

Okay, so we've had a good look around Stonehenge now.

So now it's time to get on a bus and go to the town of Salisbury, and we'll take a look around the town of Salisbury.

So I'm here in Salisbury Cathedral, and you can see that it's it's huge.

So I just wanted to explain about why is the Magna Carta an important document.

Who cares about this document?

I will quickly tell you the story of the Magna Carta.
マグナ・カルタの物語を簡単にお話しします。
In the 1200s, okay, a long time ago, there was a really bad king.

His name was King John.

He was not a good king.

He did all kinds of bad things, and eventually a lot of people got very tired of him.

But there was not much they could do because in the time in the 1200s, really the king had ultimate power, so the king could basically do whatever he wanted.

There were really no laws restricting the king from doing whatever he wanted.

That's what they were called.

Barons were kind of wealthy people of the time who owned land and so on.

So these rich barons basically forced King John to sign the Magna Carta.

King John did not want to sign this document, but he was forced to to do this.

One of the most important things in this document, the Magna Carta, was that the king and people in the government had to follow the law.

Okay, so even the king was required to follow the law.

And in the past, that was not the case.

The king had ultimate power to do whatever they wanted, but King John had to sign the Magna Carta, and that meant that the even the king, even the most powerful people in the country, still had to follow the law, which was was a big change at the time.

The Magna Carta also stated that all free men have the right for to due process, and what that means is if you're going to punish somebody, that you need to have a proper trial.

You know, there needs to be a proper reason for them to be punished.

There had to be.

Magna Carta says, and I quote: No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way.

So that means that people cannot be punished unless they have done something wrong.

People cannot be punished unless they have broken the law, and that's what is in the Magna Carta.

Now this sounds nice, but of course, when the Magna Carta was written in the 1200s, free men basically meant rich people, the peasants of the time, as they call them.

That it did not apply to them.

And then hundreds of years later, the U.S.

So basically, the Magna Carta was one of the it was basically in the Western world was the first document that guaranteed the freedoms of people.

Now it took a long time for everybody to actually have the same rights, but you could say the Magna Carta was the first place, the first document that stated that everybody had every free man, as it states, every free man has the same rights.

Basically, the right to not be punished unless you've broken the law.

So there are four original copies of the Magna Carta.

There are two copies in the British Library in London.

There is one copy in the Lincoln Cathedral, and the fourth copy is right here in the Salisbury Cathedral.

So I just went in and saw one of the four original copies of the Magna Carta.

I was not allowed to film in there, unfortunately, but it was very cool looking at it to think that it was actually written in the 1200s, something like 1249, or something like that.

So it was really cool to see that actually to see.
