This is a boat.
If you want to go in it, whoa, whoa, whoa!
The boat.
You want to help me now?
I was standing in our door when I just hear this conversation happening, and I just see her out there looking down at something.
It's such a detailed conversation, which was like the funniest part.
She was just so entranced with the slug in this dream world where she's kind of a forest fairy and and gets to talk to these things.
It was like Doctor Dolittle vibes.
And like, oh, she's she's in it.
It's like the cutest thing ever.
What is your background with just animals and nature, and like what drew you there?
We were living in New York in the concrete jungle, and then
when the pandemic happened, and we left New York, and then
moved back
here
ここに
with family in the Pacific Northwest.
It's actually so awesome to have a yard and to be surrounded by nature.
I'm a biologist, and so I was one of those kids that was obsessed with caterpillars and slugs and snakes.
So just taking our kids out into our our forest yard and showing them things, flipping over logs, looking under logs.
Yeah, there's no log that is left unflipped.
What?
何？
She just kind of has a magical way in nature.
She's always talking to animals, and that's something that we've we've taught her since she was young.
Have you found that people who come across your content are learning something themselves?
Maybe like what have people been sharing as the effect it's had?
I think it's so much nostalgia.
Like everyone realizes that they were that little girl, or they've seen their kids start from here.
Well, I think watching her talking to the slugs takes me back to my earliest memories of school.
They had us like raise caterpillars to be butterflies, and you like release them or something.
And I was like, gosh, I forgot how meaningful that was, especially at like a super young age.
Yeah, yeah.
People just—they're reminded that there is that magic out there in nature.
As an adult, sometimes we're a little bit too busy for that.
When you're a kid, you're engaging with it all the time.
A lot of people just get a lot of wholesome feelings.
It's—it's really, really amazing.
