Translation

This is a meerkat pup.
It hasn't learned how to find its own lunch yet, but it doesn't need to worry because this pup is still in meerkat school.
Meerkat school looks a little different from human school.
They don't study math or history.
Meerkats learn everything they need to know to survive in the wild.
Stay tuned for front row seat to see what meerkat school actually looks like.
In southern Africa, meerkats live in groups of three to fifty individuals called a mob.
The meerkats older than ninety days are called helpers.
Meerkats teach eaching as a collective job.
Any helper or parents in the group can take turns feeding, watching, and guiding the pups as they develop their skills.
We've collected our first power up.

Now take a look at this.
What are the meerkats doing?
To teach meerkat pups how to feed themselves, adults will start by bringing food to them that's ready to eat, so the pup can eat safely.
But it doesn't stop there.
As the pup gets more confident, adults help the pups practice getting their own breakfast.
It's like going from training wheels to the real bike.
Let's drop that down.
Power up unlocked.
Meal master.
The third thing a meerkat pup has to learn how to be the lookout.
Watch this meerkat carefully.
See how it's standing on its hind legs.
It's doing this so it can scan the horizon for danger.
One meerkat always stands guard while the others eat and explore.
This is called the sentinel.
They climb to the highest point they can find—a rock, a termite mound, even a bush—and scan for danger.
By watching and imitating what the adults are doing, the pups gradually develop the skills they need to become sentinels themselves.
Third power up collected.
Lookout duty.
For meerkats, the deserts and plains are the classroom.
The homework is to watch carefully and learn by doing.
And the entire meerkat mob are the teachers.
