Translation

I'm going with the sneaky choice, babies.
That's not fair.
Every elephant has a trunk.
Every elephant was a baby.
Fine, go ahead.
Baby elephants are called calves, and only 200 to 300 pounds when they're born.
Only?
That's a big baby.
I know, right?
And they can grow super fast, like a few pounds every day.
That's a lot of snacks.
Also, they can't jump at all.
Wait, never?
Not even a tiny hop?
Nope.
うん。
They always keep at least one foot on the ground when they run.
That's kind of funny.
They start moving pretty quick too.
They can stand up 20 minutes after they're born.
You take longer to get out of bed.
Leave me alone.
Beds are comfy.
They may stand up quickly, but babies don't know how to use their trunks.
What?
So they just flop them around?
Pretty much.
They even suck on them like a thumb to feel better and practice.
Ah, that's actually cute.
And their moms help them a lot, cause baby elephants don't see very well.
So they just follow their mother everywhere, like mom, mom, mom.
If not just mom, elephants live in groups led by females, where the grandma runs the whole show.
Talk about girl power.
Well, adorable, adorable babies, powerful moms.
