Translation

I could rest my hand on her little belly and feel the babies inside.
This wild squirrel chose to give birth in the living room of the woman who rescued her.
Sarah Connor and Erica's story actually started four years earlier when a tree crew accidentally cut down the nest that she shared with her brother and sister.
They lost their home.
I tried for almost a week to reunite the babies with their mother.
Unfortunately, mom never showed back up.
So Erica stepped in and raised all three of them by herself.
My biggest goal is to give them safety and nourishment until they're old enough to be on their own.
Eventually, the day came to release them back into the wild.
Sarah Connor actually ended up coming back, not just to the enclosure, but she actually came back into the house, and she spent that first night with me in the house.
I think that that's the reason why I find their relationship so interesting.
She keeps coming back, and eventually, I saw her running down her tree with a tiny baby in her mouth, and I was like, Oh my gosh, what's happening?
She's coming back.
Come over here, baby.
Her preference was to stay in the outdoor enclosure for that first litter.
Our relationship became a true partnership.
Sarah Connor has had five litters since 2023.
This fifth litter is really special.
You okay?
She moved back into Erica's living room and settled herself in this nest box on her mantle, and then gave birth right there.
That's a tiny house.
They're both boys, and their names are Theodore and Franklin.
So for the next three months, Erica basically had a wild squirrel family growing up in her living room.
There are times where she'll she'll go out and she'll spend the night in somewhere else.
You know, and and with the understanding that like grandma's gonna be here to watch the kids, she knows I'll do anything for her and her babies.
