in Japan, especially people living in cities often don't own a car.

but recently car sharing

has become popular, and car sharing is

And there's a reason for this - when you go for a drive in Japan, there are places called service areas and parking areas.

What a service area is, it's on the expressway.

and roadside stations become a really big enjoyment of the trip, so I highly recommend them
