Maybe you don't know how long I've actually been doing this, and how long and how much the channel has changed over the years.

So I saw how incredible it was, how great it worked, and I wanted to do that to help other people learn English.

Something that many people don't know about this channel is that when I started it, the idea was only to help Spanish speakers learn English.

And this wasn't because I don't like other people around the world.

It was because the second language that I knew was Spanish, and I enjoyed learning Spanish and getting to know about these different cultures so much that I wanted to share my culture with them.

So it started off as a clone of Dreaming Spanish.

And honestly, it was tough because I didn't know anything about how YouTube worked.

YouTube did not know what to do with my videos, so I would just make videos about completely random ideas.

I would post them whenever I wanted.

Usually it was once a week, but man, I had no plan.

Okay, all I knew was I love learning languages.

I want to help people, and I am going to make this work, which brings us to the next stage.

All right, so stage two of the history of this channel, we will call sharing my experiences.

Okay, and this was a super, super important stage of the channel.

Now, at this point, I still had like 200 subscribers.

What in this stage I developed something that would become huge, so important for the future of this channel, and that was I decided what kind of YouTuber I was going to be.

So what I mean by that, guys, there's really two different kinds of people who make content.

There's the first kind of person who puts on an act; they pretend to be somebody else.

They have a whole different personality when the camera comes on.

And I decided I was going to be that second kind.

I was going to be the real me, open up my life, and use it to help people.

So in this stage, I shared all of the experiences that I had been through, all the bad times, all the good times, all the hard lessons that I learned.

And this was so important because I stopped trying to do what I see Pablo do or what I see Steve Kaufman do, and I started becoming Kyle from Pensando Inglés.

I started to develop my own personality and really become the guy I was going to be as the channel grew and grew.

I've always been really connected to my audience, and it's also in this stage that the first big piece of Pensando Inglés history happened.

So one day I was at work.

I had 247 subscribers that morning.

At work later in the afternoon, I look at my phone, and I had like six hundred something subscribers.

This is a moment I'll never forget.

A bigger YouTuber named Mr.

Salas Alberto Salas mentioned me in a video about language YouTubers who deserve more subscribers than they have.

So this allowed me to reach my first goal of one thousand subscribers.

Like a week after he made that video, I had almost thousand subscribers, and that was really the first super cool thing that happened to me on my YouTube journey.

And we'll talk a little bit more about him later.

But after this is another super important stage that I'm going to tell you about right now.

So stage three of the history of this channel, we will call connecting with my audience.

And this stage lasted all the way from about one thousand to five thousand subscribers.

This is another stage that will always be very near and dear to my heart.

And I haven't really thought about it much lately, but this was one of my favorite stages.

And during this stage, I was doing something that I've never seen other language channels do.

I decided, and I don't know where this idea came from.

I decided one day I wanted to give my viewers a chance to practice English with me.

So in one video, I said, "Guys, I want to practice English with you.

I was getting to connect with these people and giving them a chance to speak with a native speaker.

Almost every single one of these people I talked to, guys, said, "This is my first conversation with a native English speaker." They were always so nervous.

It was it was pretty cute, guys.

And This really showed me, like, my audience, guys, is good people trying to improve.

Every single person I met was awesome, kind people.

They they shared the same kind of thoughts as me, and it was so special to have these conversations.

And in fact, some of these people I still consider friends to this day.

And that's just what it's always been about.

All right, now the next stage is when things really started to explode and get much bigger.

All right, guys, stage four of the history of this channel we will call Real Life English.

This is where things started to get interesting.

So four years, guys, literally like three and a half, four years, I was making videos, trying my best to help people, getting between 100 and 400 views if I was lucky.

And all of my subscribers were from Mexico, South America, Spanish speakers.

And then one day something happened that changed the history of Pensando English.

This video got like four thousand views in the first week.

So I saw.

All right, and the last stage that we will talk about of this channel's history, we will call stage six, becoming the hero.

Now, when I say becoming the hero, I don't mean becoming a guy that you all should think, "Oh, he's awesome.

He's a superhero." No, I mean this is when I really started becoming the man that I wanted to be, becoming the hero of my own story, which is what I think you guys need to do as well.

This is the goal for everybody to become your ideal version of you, who you want to be in this world.

Start doing the things you want to do.

So I don't know exactly when this change happened, but probably around 70, 80, 90, 000 subscribers, I started the change, the way that I saw myself, and started thinking, "All right, I'm a real YouTuber." So I think the first moment that I really felt this way was when I collaborated with my YouTube and language learning hero, Pablo Roman from Dreaming Spanish.
いつこの変化が起きたのか正確には分かりませんが、おそらく登録者数が7万、8万、9万人くらいの頃、自分自身の見方が変わり始め、「よし、自分は本物のYouTuberだ」と考えるようになりました。そう実感した最初の瞬間は、私のYouTubeと語学学習のヒーローである「Dreaming Spanish」のパブロ・ロマンさんとコラボした時だったと思います。
And I didn't feel this way because I think, "Oh, this guy Pablo, he's a he's a celebrity, he's a superhero, or anything." I felt this way because here's somebody who I look at as the real deal, a legitimate YouTuber, and now he's talking to me.
別にパブロが有名人だとか、スーパーヒーローだとか、そういう理由でそう感じたわけじゃない。彼を本物だと、正真正銘のYouTuberだと見なしているからこそ、そんな彼が自分に話しかけてくれているという事実にそう感じたんだ。
I've seen him so many times.
彼の動画は何度も見てきた。
I've watched all his videos, and now I'm sitting here on a video call with him, and he says, "Hey, Kyle." In that moment, guys, I was super nervous, honestly, and fear is gonna happen when you're in this stage of becoming the you that you want to be.

That kind of fear is what I felt when I spoke to Pablo.

So a few things.

First of all, go for it.

Don't take all your earnings and bet on something that is unlikely to succeed.

But sometimes in life we hesitate, and I think we should just go for things.

Take.

I think we we end up regretting the opportunities that we didn't go after more than trying something and not succeeding.

So I would first of all say go for it.
ですから、まずは挑戦してみることをお勧めします。
But if you're going to go for something, you have to have have to have some assets.
ただし、何かに挑戦するなら、それなりの資産が必要です。
So you have to have some knowledge, whether it be product knowledge or market knowledge or people you know.
製品知識や市場知識、あるいは人脈など、何らかの知識を持っていなければなりません。
You've got to evaluate, you know, what it is you bring.
自分が何を提供できるのかを評価する必要があります。
Because yeah, typically to be successful in life, we have to bring value to other people.

So you have to evaluate what it is you might have that you can offer other people.
ですから、他者に何を提供できるのかを評価しなければなりません。
The second thing is again, luck is a big thing in life.
2つ目は、やはり人生において運は大きな要素だということです。
Okay, so a lot of things are going to depend on life, on luck.
人生の多くのことは運に左右されます。
So if you don't put yourself out there, you're not going to find that luck.
ですから、自分から行動を起こさなければ、その運に出会うことはできません。
So you have to put yourself out there.
自分から外に出ていく必要があるのです。
But if things don't turn out well, not everything is going to work because luck is such a big factor.

And the third thing I would say is that people, nobody does anything on their own.
3つ目は、人は一人では何もできないということです。
Everything relies on other people.
すべては他者の存在があってこそ成り立ちます。
I don't care how much of a genius you think you are, successful entrepreneur, you know, billionaire, all these people, they succeeded because of other people.
自分がどれほど天才だと思っていても、成功した起業家や億万長者であっても、彼らが成功したのは他者のおかげです。
So it's very important to cherish important relationships.
ですから、大切な人間関係を育むことは非常に重要です。
Do things for other people.
他者のために行動しましょう。
Do for others before you ask them to do things for you, and you will get most of those back.

So those are the main three.

Go for it, number one.

Two, evaluate your strengths and weaknesses.

You must believe in yourself, guys.

If you have a worthwhile goal and your heart is telling you to go for it, you need to go for it.

Okay, all of the things when something good happened to me, it came out of nowhere.

Ah, the random comment from this guy that changed the way I was making videos.

The thing I learned from this is if you believe in yourself, you know where you want to go, and you refuse to quit, you will get there.
私が学んだのは、自分を信じ、目指す場所を心に描き、決して諦めなければ、必ずそこに辿り着けるということです。
But the path, along the way.
ただし、その道のりは、予想とは違うものになるでしょう。
There's gonna be a lot of surprises, guys.
みんな、たくさんの驚きが待っているよ。
And sometimes, when it feels like nothing is working and you should quit, because you'll never achieve your goal, if you just keep pushing, just stay strong a little bit longer.
そして時々、何をやってもうまくいかず、目標を達成できないから諦めるべきだと感じる時でも、もう少しだけ頑張り続けて、強くあり続けてほしい。
That big thing might come and get you and give you that next push you need.
