Good evening everyone, this is MK. Mario Kart Tour,
let's start update part 5.
Just a little while ago, Nintendo Direct announced that two new survival rallies will be added. Moreover, they started distribution immediately after the Direct ended, so let's go ahead and race them.
If you're looking forward to seeing what kind of rally it is, please subscribe to the channel and give it a high rating. And since it's been a while, I'd like to race with the lightweight class I'm used to.
Speaking of characters I haven't used much, how about Toad? In the cute hamburger
outfit, let's do it.
Since there is a hamburger car, well, let's go with a bike or something that matches the color scheme.
And what was added this time is the Propeller Rally and the Cup Rally. The Propeller Rally is, let's see, from Acorn Treehouse to Airship, and the Cup Rally is from Lake's Mountain to Shy Guy.
Both are quite
unusual routes. Let's start with the Propeller Rally. Of course, it's 150cc.
And if possible, I want to get 3 stars on the first try, so
of course, since it's a survival mode, you can't get 3 stars unless you pass all sections in 1st place.
It requires getting to the front quite early from the start, so let's do our best. Oh, racing on the side of the road is a bit unusual, isn't it?
Ah, this is a place where there's often a road. If you use a dash mushroom or a mushroom on this island,
it's quite good, but since you have to be in 1st place all the time, you don't have to carefully select the items you get every time, but you absolutely
need to get to the front. So,
I'd like to take 1st place without using shortcuts if possible.
Alright, let's do our best. Let's aim to get to the front
with plenty of room. Wait, it's a completely new route, so the path hasn't changed at all, but for now,
let's see, the item table seems to have changed slightly, but for the first 20 seconds, the items that appear are okay, uh,
fixed, or rather, there was an update a little while ago that made the table the same for everyone, so that shouldn't have changed. And from this time on, the types of items you can see have also changed.
Let's see, mushrooms and such, of course, we've been able to see banana peels and green shells,
there were many items, but besides that, coin boxes, let's see,
and hammers or boomerangs, it seems like those have become visible too, so, well, it might be easier to race,
right? For now,
I was able to get to the front, but wait, at this point, it's already the 1st place item table, right?
The first 20 or 30 seconds are the same, but is it already there? No, even if
I'm quite far ahead, I want to aim to escape with this.
I wonder if it's easier to get things like horns in 1st place? Probably not, right?
Is there
a change in the item table that would
make that happen? Probably not.
Is this already the second half of this section?
Wait, it's fast.
なえか
Why?
It's sealed.
This time,
on the ground, it's even more dangerous, dangerous, dangerous, dangerous, it's about as fast as it gets, wait, that was close, dangerous, wait, wait, it's dangerous.
I was saved where I came out. Now,
let's see, please really stop with that mess. Let's see, yes, for now, one pass here.
Huh? It's fast.
The part where you get cut off by the four people at the beginning is really fast in this rally.
That's also something, isn't it? If you don't
understand it quite well, I think there were parts that were tough, but I threw it behind and hit it, okay, okay, okay, wait, the back is too close.
I have to take lots of coins and get away for now. Let's see, yes, while collecting coins here too,
if I can get it with a horn, it would be really stable, but this section is a bit long.
Look, looking at the map on the right, and since it's quite straight, it doesn't look like there's much to collect. What, what, what, what is there?
Wait, I can't see it anymore. Eh?
It's not that I can't see it, I could see it, but there was no way to avoid it. Okay, okay, okay, but
the computer is also hitting quite a bit, and
Wait, coin, wait, oh, there's a seal there.
There's a seal, or rather, in that box over there.
That box, yes, the box.
Break it, this way, this way, there's a rail route there.
Rail route, yes, from here, wait, wait, wait, there's a glider, yes, use the seal.
Oh, oh, a shortcut like this.
It's exciting when you can discover things, right? Break the wooden box at the station area, the rail, or rather the track.
Glider.
This is super fast.
Everyone, please try using it. And then, oh wait, now.
I thought I grabbed the seal, but Mukai-san, I didn't grab it at all. Anyway, I've grabbed the second section too, for now.
But it's quite close, it's dangerous, I want to get a bit further away, but where is the shortcut, where, where, here.
Isn't it going to curve? Uh, here, here, the seal.
Uh, shortcut, yes, pass through the mast, pass underneath, and then this rail.
No, wait, I don't know, it's my first time, there's a feather, but a feather, wow, this is a long way, isn't it a shortcut?
Is it a shortcut here? It looks scary, it's scary. If I have the half-dash function here, I can take two curves at once.
I think it's quite strong. Those who passed behind, why don't you try aiming for it? And there's a feather, but I'll use it here. A feather shortcut on the first try is impossible.
There is one. First of all, the feather shortcut itself, sorry, there is a feather, but oh, was this a rail?
待まて
Wait.
I might have messed up.
With this, and then the shell.
Yes, the shell, you know, after casting the spell, if you do that, you can recover immediately, so I think it's from the last update. Please use that well.
It's dangerous, I didn't get the feather, I didn't get it. Wait, wait, wait, wait, I got hit by that, that's huge. Uh, there's a feather dropped, I really want you to stop that. Do I need this feather?
I don't need it, but this feather, the next, what is it, the elimination point is approaching.
So let's ignore this.
Let's go while holding the feather.
Yes, here too, it feels like I'm going to be overtaken at the end, but a green shell is flying, and the green shell's, like, wall...
Uh, feather.
It seems the number has decreased, this update, so...
Did it decrease once? I'm not sure, but oh, here's a simple feather shortcut. Let's do it quickly, and the guest, and then the boomerang.
Or, uh, hammer.
They've become visible, right?
So, quite a boomerang.
Things were flying out of nowhere, and you'd wonder how to dodge them, which I think has happened before, but it seems they've made it possible to counter those.
Well, is this blocking the coin? As expected, look, the coin block was visible while attached to the back, and these visible opponents...
The variety has increased again. Even invincible-type opponents, or rather...
Have they become visible?
I think so. In this update, the items became visible, just like the previous update, so in that sense, well, the surroundings are easier to see.
What, it's dangerous, it's easier to see what the opponent is holding, so I'll watch that area carefully.
Actually, I wanted to take a shortcut, but can I go? Overtake.
Coming, okay, okay, oh wait, oh, if that was high, if I could, well, it can't be helped, it can't be helped, it's impossible. While looking, I pushed through, well, it was fast, wasn't it?
I suppose it was decided clearly, and the next gate is the Toad Factory, right? And the Toad Factory's distance...
Is it not going to push through? This...
And it goes up immediately, oh, I'm going here. And the food, the shortcut here.
It doesn't come, but it's there, you know, the quiet one, and here, here, the start, there's also survival, right? And like this, the surroundings...
What was it, it felt like it connected to the roundabout side, but oh...
And since the coins are visible now, the red shell is behind, right?
I guess so, well, it's impossible, right? It's impossible, I definitely can't go, many are coming, and there's food, so should I take the food?
That's right, yes, I can't take the food.
It didn't turn as much as I thought, but we passed through and this way, yes, the gate of Bowser's Castle.
Right, so going through here and behind
throw it back, oh, I don't need coins either. Oh, I only have coin-type items, so behind
it's dangerous if they find out, right? From now on, one, um
coins or behind, or rather, I've been placing them behind
and I think I've been doing anti-Teresa measures until now,
but that might not be possible anymore. Because if you have coins behind you, it's obvious. So, yeah, I've done it, I'm exhausted, and I have 200,000
I have it. For now, I'm in 1st, but I'm quite far ahead, or
I wonder if I'm far ahead
I can make it. If it's just getting hit by red shells in a row, I should be able to manage. If it's a pottery vase, it might be a bit dangerous
Wait, Hammer Bro, Kamek, Kamek, Kamek, wait, watch out below, what's coming out? Oh, Hammer Bro, Fire Bro, wait, it's dangerous, oh, Fire Bro, eh
Was it this way? Oh wait, there are 4 items here
Did you see that? There were 4 items just now
I've never seen that before
Oh, that's rare
Have there ever been that many items lined up like that before?
It's the first time
it's a gimmick. And oh
I'm in 1st place here. Wow, it feels like I was forced to turn towards the airship, but I'll keep going like this. And
well, this is fine. I'll block the red shell with a banana for now, and with the item
that's right, pottery vase measures, let's go with that. Even so, I can see them behind
I should be cautious at the Bro section from earlier
I felt like I was a bit slow there, didn't I?
I want to nail this mark, and they are fast too. By jumping early, I'll reduce the air time. Good, good, you're good, Heme-san, and
Wait, just like this, oh, I have plenty of room, right?
On the right, with the map like this, I think I have plenty of room, but, um, the final count here too
It's okay. Wait, if it's a double, I'll fall. If it's a double, I'll fall, but it's okay. Oh, oh, oh, if this gets taken, it'll be a disaster. And, um, on the west side
if I cut in, I'll enter
Wait, it's faster to bump here once, but if I go this far outside, it's not fast. So, finally, I'll use the item to block, and like this, in 1st
なんか
somehow
it changed to a helmet
It ended up like that at the end, but well, that's fine. Okay, somehow I've passed all sections in 1st place, so I think I got 3 stars
I wonder if this won't change
in the future
with updates
Getting 3 stars is too hard, so survival, make it a bit easier, at least if you pass half or more in 1st place
isn't that good? 3 stars, maybe
isn't it good? Well, the computer has been weakened once since the release
well, I guess that's what Nintendo thinks about the campaign. So
I think I got 1st with 3 stars. I got it, right?
As expected, yes. Please look at the top left, it's a paper. Well, I could end it here, but with this update
you could run in 1st place before, but the retro courses, the Super Famicom retro courses
part, that is now
playable in VS mode, so let's try running it. Since it's a special occasion, I'll run with Mario's skeleton or something
64, or rather, the very first one
Super Famicom's
Super Mario Kart's kart, let's go with that. Well, 150cc, items, computer strong is fine. And choose course
The number doesn't matter, but let's set it to 3 for now, and all items on
Okay
The easiest one to understand is this Mario Circuit, look, SNES Mario Circuit 1, 2, 3 are here
And besides this, for example, here at Choco Mountain
It's here, and I think it's Koopa Beach, Koopa Beach 1 has been added here too, so there are 10 courses in total. Since the Super Famicom courses have arrived, let's try Mario Circuit 1.
Let's give it a try. You know, it appeared in the trailer, but the question mark boxes...
are just like in Super Mario Kart.
You know, on the ground...
they are the question mark panels, as we call them now. That's the point.
I'm looking forward to that too, so let's go. Look, the top part is properly Super Famicom style, and the BGM is...
just like in the first piece, the Super Mario one has arrived! Look, look, wait, the item boxes are spinning.
The sound is also the old one.
Oh, oh, oh.
すごい
Amazing.
They really changed these parts too. Five laps, okay, I understand. Was the original...
Super Mario Kart five laps? Or four? My memory is a bit fuzzy on that, but it's amazing how the question mark box's...
reel, that sound, and the BGM are properly...
recreated. It really feels like the Super Famicom version just cleaned up. And one lap, you guys are following, are you okay?
You guys did one lap with auto-steer, I understand, but I want to pass at least one more person at the end.
I want to pass that 24th place one and take 1st.
If I do that, I should collect coins properly. I think I should take this mushroom since it's likely to melt.
If I use it too soon, I might mess up.
Wait, did I pass that 24th place one behind me? Did I pass the 24th place one? Ah, one person.
This, this, pass this, pass this.

Ah, dangerous, dangerous, dangerous. Even though I'm in 1st, the one behind...
What did I get? There's a possibility of a blue shell in the items, isn't that dangerous? If so, okay, pass this and the Koopa Troopa.
But I didn't think it would come this far. Yes, pass the finish line, okay.
Nice. This will probably appear in online matches too, right? If so, this place...
everyone has to practice.
So, I ran Mario Circuit 1, but...

I'll go to the second one too. Or should I try a different place? Let's go with Choco Mountain's Chocolate...

Let's run this one. There are 10 courses in total, and I want to finish running all of them from today's update, so thank you everyone.
Yes, originally I could run it in the first piece, the SNES one...
but the ranking...
and if you look closely at the course, the shortcut locations are a bit easier to see, and the final lap is in.
Yeah, wait, is this bad? If I want to take the final lap, if possible...
Yeah, the final lap is bad, I'm being passed, I'm being passed. Should I run on the inside? Which one is faster?
The dirt is slightly on the inside.
はね
Is it?
Wait, is that side faster? Okay, here, running suddenly, wait, Bowser Jr. is quite fast. Isn't Bowser Jr. too fast?
He wasn't there, right?
In the Super Famicom era. Why is someone who wasn't in the Super Famicom era running in front? No way.

I don't know the official name for that question mark panel.
I don't know how it was, but this question mark panel...
Well, you know, the fact that the original graphics from the arcade version were adopted is a big deal, so, uh, let's keep going. Isn't Pauline a bit slow? She has been for a while.
Right, you're the most retro character, aren't you?
You debuted at the same time as Mario, so you're Mario's contemporary, Pauline.
Since you're the oldest, I really can't have you losing, you know. Behind you.
Don't lose now.
So, I'd like to take first place just like this, but wait, where is second place? I have no idea at all.
Who was in second place?
So Bowser Jr. behind me is in second place, okay. That's scary, really. Okay, for now, I was able to take first place again. That's good. Retro courses, a little...
I'd like to run all of these too, but let's end it here for now. Then next time, the Tablai...
I'd like to run that and also touch on the remaining retro courses.
