Hi, I'm Yuka.
Right now I'm at Terminal 3 of Haneda Airport.
Today I'm heading to Songshan Airport in Taiwan, and I'll be flying there in EVA Air's Royal Laurel Class.
It's said to be equivalent to business class on other airlines, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what it's like.
Today's aircraft is a Boeing 787-10, and
EVA Air is also a member of Star Alliance, so it seems I can use the ANA lounge.
Well, I think I'll go check in now.
Here I go.
EVA Air check-in counters are in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, and today's flight seems to depart from Terminal 3.
I'll head to Counter A beyond this point.

This is the EVA Air check-in counter.
I have no checked baggage this time, so I can complete the procedure at the terminal in front of the counter without lining up.
I've successfully checked in.
There wasn't a dedicated counter, but my boarding group seems to be Group 1.
Next is the security check, which somehow makes me nervous every time.
Well, here I go.
I made it through.
After this, I think I'll go exchange yen for Taiwanese currency.
Before that, I'll head to the ANA international lounge I've been looking forward to.
It seems to be up the escalator near the gates in the 100s, after going through the central security checkpoint and turning right.
I wonder if it's okay for someone like me to barge in.
My heart is pounding with nerves and excitement.
I've arrived.
It's so close and I'm still not mentally prepared.
I feel so out of place, like I'm the only one standing out even before boarding.
Ta-da!
Not the ANA Suite Lounge, but...
It looks like I can only use this ANA Lounge this time.
This might be my first and last international lounge, so I'll do my best to try the entire buffet.
I'm overwhelmed by my first lounge.
The atmosphere is like this, and there are quite a lot of people.
First, I'll explore the buffet corner and the drink corner.
Of course, soft drinks are all-you-can-drink, and
next to them are whiskey, vodka, gin, wine, champagne, and other liquors lined up side by side.
Next, let's take a look at the buffet corner.
First up is scrambled eggs.
Creamy seafood and macaroni gratin, three kinds of
spicy tomato stewed beans,
everyone's favorite pork sausages, mixed green salad with cherry tomatoes and corn, inari sushi,
and mentaiko onigiri, barley onigiri, and there were also breads like croissants and soft French bread.

The ANA original chicken curry I was curious about from reviews, as a curry lover
I'm thrilled.
Since there's also an in-flight meal, I'll get a small portion of rice.
I don't need a heaping pile, but I do want a small portion.
There was also a beer server,
but I can't get drunk from the morning, so I'll hold back.
No, this is not what it looks like.
Drinking from the morning is totally fine, right?

So, how does it taste?
Yeah, it's so delicious I feel like I'll get hungry at this airport often.
By the way, this lounge opens at 5 AM, and if you have a flight that day, you can use it no matter how early before departure.
Extreme example, even for a late-night flight you can relax in the lounge from the morning, so I thought maybe that's why it's so crowded.
It's so comfortable it's dangerous.
I could totally live here.
Ta-da!

All the food in the lounge is so delicious, and even though there's an in-flight meal waiting, I can't stop eating.
For dessert, I'll have almond tofu and fruit.
The buffet menu changes regularly, so if I can use this lounge, every trip would be even more fun.

There were phone booths in the back, and everyone was calling friends and such.
I tried pretending to call too, but it just made me sad.
Departure time is approaching, so I've moved to boarding gate 107.

It seems there's one overhead bin per person, and there was even a pillow for sleeping.
I somehow managed to store my luggage.

I held off on Taiwanese gourmet until we arrive and chose Western food for the in-flight meal.

According to the CA, the right-side seats are recommended on flights departing from Haneda Airport.
About 10 minutes after departure, if the weather is nice you can see Mt. Fuji beautifully, so

As expected, dessert goes to a separate stomach, so I feel like I could eat endlessly unless we land.

I was very satisfied with the dishes that didn't feel like they were in the sky.
After this, I would like to make the seat fully flat and take a short nap.
Well then, good night.
Good morning.
It was too comfortable and I completely overslept.
Before arriving in Taiwan, I'd like to check out the inside of the lavatory at the end.
It says Royal Laurel Class only.
So, entering now.
It looks like this inside, and surprisingly there is not much difference from a regular airplane, it was a clean and tidy lavatory overall.
That concludes the tour.
It seems we are about to land soon, and we are gradually descending.
About 20 minutes left to Taipei Songshan Airport.
I don't want to get off, I feel like crying.
By the way, a Royal Laurel Class ticket
is a bit more reasonable compared to other airlines, and when cheap you can buy it from around 80,000 yen one-way.
This time I booked my ticket from the EVA Air official website.
Thank you very much for flying on this EVA Air and ANA codeshare flight.
All of our crew sincerely look forward to serving you again.
Please watch your step as you disembark.
Goodbye, thank you very much for flying with us today.
I got off the plane and arrived at Songshan Airport.
So today I tried EVA Air's Royal Laurel Class.
No, it was really amazing.
It was truly so good that it's no exaggeration to say it was the most comfortable flight ever.
The seat becoming fully flat was an experience I've never had before, so that was also really great, and we had about three and a half hours of flight time
so thanks to that I could eat slowly and I could even sleep for about an hour.
So it was a very fulfilling flight.
It was a fun trip in the sky.
I could use the lounge before boarding, ate a lot of food, drank alcohol, so I'm fully satisfied.
The price is by no means cheap, but since it's an ANA and EVA Air codeshare flight, there's a sense of security
and other international flights would cost more, I think they'd probably be a bit more expensive.
So I'm glad I was able to fly like this this time, it was a really great experience.
If I fly international business class, I'm sure in the comments
people will say definitely try Emirates or go to New York or Dubai, but I'm not quite there yet, um
I, um
you know, so
I want to keep working hard so that I can fly those someday too.
So, I'm going to enjoy Taiwan for the first time in about half a year.
きます。
Here I go.
Thank you for watching until the end today as well.
