It's useful for spreading or mixing them, right? If you're going to draw something bright, you should draw something dark, right?
はい
Yes

I can eat a meal too
Quite a bit
I've gained a little strength
ね
right

I'll tell Shibasaki too
Yes, thank you for the likes too
さあ
Now
I'm always, always so grateful, it's an emergency
But today, in the comments of gratitude, summer's
I think I'd like to try drawing a flower field
I think
さ
Now
I'll draw
からね
so
では
Well then
I wonder what kind of flower field it will be
Please draw slowly
Yes, let's get started
はい
Yes
Now, let's start painting right away, yes
What I'm using today is
the familiar Art Crayon color set, you see
はい
Yes
The inside looks like this
The color development
Isn't it beautiful?
はいで
Yes, and
I'll be drawing with this, but today
I'd like to use this violet together, this one and this one
はい
Yes
Well then, let's give it a try
Oh, that's right, one more thing
It's a blender.
I'll use this too.
はい
Yes.
では
Well then,
first, starting with pink.
I'll apply it
thinly.
Pink is really great for making a painting
fun and bright.
はい
Yes.
Now for blue.
I'll apply this thinly too. Art crayons
show color beautifully even when applied thinly.
Yes, now
I've drawn the shape.
Now, the blender.
A blender is something that
helps to spread or mix the colors you've applied.
The blender itself doesn't have any color on it.
Yes, now white.
This one actually has white color on it.
See, it's become brighter, hasn't it?
はい
Yes.
さ
Now,
next is brown. Let's add just a little bit.
This secret ingredient
is important.
Now, I'll press this down firmly with white again.
Being able to mix colors freely is what makes using art crayons
so fun. Yes.
I'll wipe my finger.
Wiping my finger, yes.
When drawing with these crayons, your finger is like a brush.
When you feel like your brush is dirty and that's a problem,
let's wipe our fingers just like washing a brush.
はい
Yes.
White again.
Look, gradually
firmly
let's bring it out.
はい
Yes.
Hmm, maybe a bit more blue, or black?
Actually,
blue is better. Let's remove a little.
はい
Yes.
There, just a little darker at the top.
It's to express space.
In this case, the paper I'm using is called Kent paper, which has a smooth surface. Yes, now black.
Black does a really good job too.
Especially for things like circles.
I will quickly use black for the dark areas.
Yes, this is pink.
It is blue.
はい
Yes.
Mixing these colors is necessary when painting distant elements.
And with white,
all over like this,
to brighten it up.
Things in the distance are bright.
It feels like that kind of color.
はい
Yes.
I will also add a touch of brown as a secret ingredient.
Once one color is decided, you add other colors to it like this.
Let's enjoy this kind of layering and mixing
of colors.
Today,
it is a summer landscape.
はい
Yes.
Since it is a landscape where the bright sun is pouring down,
this yellow, and the black and blue that represent light,
are very important.
Yes, brown. Well, those colors,
when layered or mixed, what kind of colors will they become?
I will be watching this for a while now,
so let's look at the results together.
Now, this is dark.
And then, where the light is overflowing, that is yellow.
And green.
You know, the sunlight is pouring down a lot.
I want to paint it with that feeling.
And if there is light, there is also very dark blue.
Like this.
By doing that, conversely, the bright light becomes visible.
If you want to paint bright things, you must paint dark things.
Yes, keep layering.
Yes.
はい
This is the ground part.
Right here.
ここね
It is a lavender field.
When you think of summer,
lavender is great.
Yes.
はい
Now, add a little green and white to this too.
It is shining in the sunlight.
That is the feeling.
And then, the dark light of the sun,
that part.
The colors have really layered up and become rich.
It really is like this.
Truly.
Well, as always, Shibasaki.
I feel it myself while I'm drawing,
that when I draw like this on the Arches paper,
I can really feel that these Art Crayons can express things so well.
They really can. Yes.
I'm using a bit of the new color, light violet.
Yes, and this is violet.
はい
Yes.
It's bright, then dark, and then pink.
はい
Yes.
Do you like lavender too? I, Shibasaki, have also
painted it here and there. Furano in Hokkaido is famous for it, isn't it?
But the one that I, Shibasaki,
still remember and can't forget is,
in the countryside,
that country, well, there are many small ones there,
when I was traveling and walking along the roads around there,
it was summer, and these lavenders were,
a lot of, what should I say,
tied into small bundles,
and hung up for sale everywhere.
That scenery was also wonderful.
Yes, while doing that, I'm painting the lavender's,
well, its growth, or its stems,
or its flowers, the energy of it.
And the plants.
Yes, here I'll add a woman
holding a parasol,
and paint her,
to evoke the summer sunshine,
well, that's what I'm thinking.
You can draw quite a lot in such a small space, with Art Crayons.
はい
Yes.
さ
Now,
I've added a bit of the bright sunlight.
It's about this much.
How is it?
A bright and hot day, can you see the cool
plateau in the distance?
About this much.
はい
Yes.
This is the feeling of the sun hitting it.
I'm adding some highlights here too.
ほら
Look,
you can see the light. How is it?
はい
Yes.
はい
Yes.
A lady standing in a lavender field.
Yes, now I'll fill in the foreground a bit,
and now, it has become quite substantial.
I could also see the sunlight.
Yes, how is it?
はい
Yes.
Let's group the distant parts together as well.
Fill it with plenty of light.
About this much, I think.
Yes, this is a lavender field.
It's a sunny day. Now,
I've finished painting it.
It was a lavender field that went on forever, wasn't it? Lavender is a flower of the four seasons,
and in that garden over there, quite a lot
こう
like this
are blooming.
Yes, if you pick it up a little, it has a very lovely scent.
