Don't say it, don't say it
Koreans eat with their eyes, so I think it's definitely cheap. So 1.7 kilos
of pork block
Hello everyone, it's Haran
Sorry
I bought a good one. It's easy to carry
But when I say I drive, everyone says they're surprised
I wonder if it's that surprising. Yeah. Quite often
Well, I guess I do look like I can't drive
Actually I'm zooming around quite a bit
Hello, it's Haran. Today I bought quite a lot at Costco, so I want to show you what I got
むく
Muku
Today I bought just under 25,000 yen worth
まあ
Well
This one is the big item, no doubt. It's still just early October
but this was already out. Well, I'll introduce them one by one. First, let's start from here
Ta-da! It's spray whip. I think it's imitation. As expected, it's quite plant-based
Oh, maybe not. But anyway, for a spray whip I find it quite tasty and it's my favorite. I don't buy it every time. If I ate whipped cream like this
it would be terrible, you know, every time. But this time it's been getting cold lately and it's the season when cinnamon and
spicy drinks taste good, and the other day I had a pumpkin drink at Starbucks for the first time
みたい
like
and it was so delicious, so I thought I'd make a pumpkin spice latte
and top it with whipped cream at the end
so I bought it. For how to make a pumpkin spice latte
I looked it up, and quite a few women living in America
have posted about it, and they really do put actual pumpkin in it, and I thought I could make this in Japan too
I thought I'd use quite a bit of whipped cream for practice and trial runs, so I went ahead and bought it. But you can get this for like 1,000 yen
It's 598 yen, so being able to get this for 1,000 yen is pretty amazing
If it's a Christmas present or souvenir under 1,000 yen, I might bring this next time. Don't say you don't want it
Next, let's go to the new product next to this. Ta-daan. It's Greek yogurt. I
it's no exaggeration to say I went to buy this Greek yogurt this time, well, Greek yogurt
right. It's a thick strained yogurt, and this Greek yogurt is pretty famous for being delicious, and it's cheap. This is also under 1,000 yen
but the reason I wanted Greek yogurt is, to put Greek yogurt on a plate and pour espresso over it
and then dust cocoa powder on top, that way of
eating it is supposed to be really delicious,
I saw it on a friend's story or something and wanted to try it
so I bought it. Like tiramisu, mascarpone
so it might work
I'll try it later. You know, sometimes I suddenly crave Greek yogurt
so this time I bought a big one to satisfy that craving all at once. It's one kilo
But quite
everyone buys it, so once you start eating it'll be gone in an instant. Everyone, it's delicious. About this much
Next, continuing with fermented foods
It's kimchi. This is also a classic. The napa cabbage kimchi
They also sell cabbage kimchi, but I like napa cabbage better
This is quite a large amount, so once opened, even if you eat it quickly, by the time it's almost gone at the end it's quite old-feeling
it gets over-fermented and a bit sour, so then I stir-fry it or put it in soup or hot pot, something easy like that
kimchi
But my sister and I eat kimchi a lot, we eat it like Koreans, so it goes pretty fast
It'll be gone
I also love eating it like natto and kimchi with rice
I boil pork and sandwich it with lettuce and pork and that kimchi, roll it up and eat it, I don't really stir-fry it or heat it
I don't really make things like pork kimchi with kimchi, so like, already
I like the fresh crunchy texture better, so more raw
and I have a strong urge to eat it raw just like this. If I have mozuku or natto, I'll mix them together and eat with cold tofu. Please don't barge in
Yes, next let's go to this tea. Ta-daan
You can drink it ... times. There are 50 bags in it. This bag is amazing, you know
I bought it because it looked delicious. I quite like herbal tea, but berry or hibiscus-like ones don't really
they don't sell them much and they're quite expensive even when they do. So at Costco
I think it was around 1500 yen, being able to buy it for that is really
I'm glad, right? I hope it's tasty. Yes, next is crunchy pickled plums. I opened and ate these right when I got back from Costco, this crunchy plum rice...
Costco's crunchy plums, you know, when I filmed inside Costco
at that time
there was tasty red crunchy ume with seeds in it, quite cheap and a good deal, my sister and I really love crunchy ume so we said it's a good deal
and bought it, so this time I went looking for it but couldn't find it, and instead there was this. And inside this big bag
as I showed you earlier
there are eight of these convenience-store-type packs like this, which is super convenient and nice
I buy crunchy ume at convenience stores quite a lot, so being able to store these in a pack is pretty convenient, I'm definitely happy
I think it's cheap. It's 1098 yen, so 1098 yen for eight bags, so it's a little over 100 yen each, well under 200 yen
The plums are a bit smaller than convenience store ones, like the ones from 7-Eleven or Tak...
those are delicious, right? But the taste isn't that different. The size of the plum and that rich feeling might be a bit less, but for me
it's in the category of crunchy ume for when I'm a little hungry, so I don't really mind. The taste is really delicious, it's like that flavor
Ta-daan, here is dishwasher detergent
I save up all of one day's dishes in the dishwasher and wash them all at once, so I hardly ever hand-wash. So dishwasher detergent is absolutely essential
so I bought this. In the middle there's this red, what do you call it, like
I heard that the one with this red power ball in it makes glasses come out sparkling clean, so I've been using this all along
I don't know if it's thanks to this detergent or thanks to the dishwasher, but
すごく
it's really
it washes so much cleaner than washing by hand, like glasses
dishes that are dishwasher-safe
are definitely
cleaner than hand-washing, so the dishwasher is fun. With this
just put in one more cube and wash together and it apparently power-cleans even inside the dishwasher. During your usual dishwasher use
you just need to add this. Apparently you don't need to run the dishwasher separately. This is amazing
hate
it removes oily dirt that causes odors from every corner
It was about 200 yen off, and it was selling quite well, so it's like known to those in the know, or I just didn't know but I thought everyone might be doing it
so I'll try it. Well, it's expensive. It's like how much per piece, it costs two or three hundred yen, but keeping my dishwasher clean is essential for me, so this is
I think it's a good investment. Again, this is like, if you go to Costco buy this, I want to declare it, something that comes up again and again
it's the staple potato starch. This potato starch, there's 3 kilos, one-kilo
bags, three
bags inside. And these three bags are packed really tightly in this cardboard box, so when you open the box you often tear the starch bag too, that happens a lot
so I think you should open the cardboard very carefully. Really, if it's like, oh no, a little tear, immediately tape it with packing tape and put another bag over it
please do that annoying thing right away. You might think, do I use this much? But for me, rather than running out of potato starch and being like, ugh
I think it's better to stock up like this
well, of course it's also cheap. I think it's totally cheap. Three kilos in this box for 1364 yen. That stress of not having potato starch
that, you know, stress
is huge, like when you're about to fry karaage and go to coat it and there's no potato starch. Potato starch isn't something you use every day, but when you use it you need a fair amount, right
so for me, one bag runs out pretty fast
It's stressful, you know. And buying it is heavy too. It's quite heavy, so I put all of them, even the opened ones, in the fridge, so cleaning
The fridge is stuffed, it's just packed full, but
I'd rather always have it stocked than have the stress of not having potato starch
I think it's better. But it used to be cheaper, I honestly think it's gotten a bit more expensive
Well, it can't be helped, prices are high. Chicken breast. Chicken breast
I bought two. Tada
My sister eats a lot of breast meat and watches her diet, so
I buy a lot of breast meat like stockpiling. It was around 60 yen or under 70 yen, so it's much cheaper than this at the supermarket
With breast meat, the dryness and deliciousness, the juiciness of the meat itself really matters, so
Delicious breast meat can totally be eaten as breast meat. Pork shoulder loin
5 grams, so about 1.7 kilos of pork block. 100 grams is 100
168 yen. Well, that's normal, cheap maybe, cheap. It might be really cheap, for domestic pork shoulder loin, you probably can't get it for 168 yen
And just looking at the state of the meat, the balance of fat
and lean meat, I personally thought, oh, that looks tasty, so I bought it
This shoulder loin, I'm going to make chashu with it now
If you add a little of that spice written as five-spice powder, wu xiang fen, it becomes like lu rou fan seasoning and that's delicious too
Also, if you add plenty of ginger, it becomes like ginger pork and it's good as a side for rice
If you add garlic, it becomes like the chashu on top of ramen, right. Well, today I think I'll simmer all three blocks as chashu
Boiled pork, really boiled moistly and wrapped in leaves or added to a salad, as a staple side dish, everyone makes boiled pork
right. I like boiled pork too, so boiled pork is good. But no no no, today I bought this 1.7 kilos because I want to make it into chashu
So I bought it
Let's stay focused, this is ground beef, 85% lean, lean
ground beef
が
is
A world where you can buy it for 198 yen per gram
is so Costco, right. It's a bit American, you never see it sold in this size, ground beef isn't even sold at many supermarkets, and even if it is, it's in a really tiny pack sold as luxury, this is about
Just under 2 kilos, 2 kilos, for 3,641 yen
Well, ground beef at 198 yen per 100 grams is
a bit
A price you don't really see at supermarkets, so I thought when I bought it today, this ground beef is the most like an American supermarket, somehow
Yes, and ta-daan, finally here it is
After all, this is the Christmas wreath
Wow, it's kind of sparkling
It's really big. It's about 5,000 yen. Thinking it gets more expensive every year
I bought it again this year. I was thinking of decorating it inside the house, but it's snowing, so outside would be better, so I'm going to hang this at the entrance
If you see this wreath, it might be my house, so
I'd be happy if you think it's cute. When Christmas season comes, houses start sparkling, and various houses
decorate their entrances with wreaths and such, but there aren't many houses decorating with one this
big. So it really stands out. That's what I always want to do every year
My attention-seeking side is showing
Well, since I'm doing YouTube and stuff, I can't say I don't want to stand out. I'll take this opportunity to want to stand out, I'll stand out
I wonder what to make for Christmas this year, even though Halloween hasn't even
come yet, I'm starting to think about it
Yes, that's all for my Costco haul. I introduced them roughly, but today there were surprisingly few items
But the price was still decent. Well, since I bought the wreath, it's about 25,000 yen. I buy a lot for Christmas at Costco too, and more than anything this year
Christmas tree
I was wondering if I want to buy one. I can't decide on my own, so I'll take it home and consider it, that's how today ended, but we have one at home
But it's really old. It's a Christmas tree I've been using since I was a child, so
It's about time for a new one
I'm going back and forth wondering whether I should buy it or not. I'll think about it a little more. And also, at Costco...
If I buy a Christmas tree, I'll let you know. Thank you for watching until the end. Please watch my next video too. Bye bye, see you!
すごい
Amazing
It's sparkling. So, what's today's video about?
I love Christmas too much
So, since Christmas...
I love it so much, and it's only just October, but
I already bought a wreath. At this rate, I'll probably get tired of this year's Christmas early too
Costco always lets you get Christmas early, and they sell big Christmas trees and wreaths and things like that, so I just can't give it up
It's fun, isn't it. Now I'm going to try making a pumpkin spice latte
ね
right?
