A world with interest rates is progressing.
From the generation carrying home loans,
truly,
I built a house,
and there is certainly anxiety about whether I should have bought it.
Well, there is also the high cost of living now,
so there is definitely anxiety about working hard.
There was difficulty in deciding which bank suits me best.
On the other hand,
there are also pluses when depositing.
Major banks are raising interest rates one after another.
Yesterday, the major banks' handling was this time. Yes, the maximum

point interest rate will be upgraded. Anytime, anywhere, and it's a good deal.
Competition for individual accounts is intensifying in the financial industry.
It is showing signs of a service war at a turning point.
Some people are happy when there are interest rates, and some are struggling. I think it varies, but many people may still be using the main bank they decided on a long time ago, but
perhaps now is the era to look at each service and choose. Looking at the strategies of the three major banks, each
has various strategies such as savings deposits, services for the wealthy, and initiatives that leverage the strengths of points.
Let's look at each in detail. First, this revived at SuMi TRUST Bank
is called a savings deposit that you don't withdraw from, and they are currently running a campaign where the interest rate doubles for a limited time, but in short,
there is a service where the interest rate increases in stages when the money you put in exceeds 100,000 yen.
Next is Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group,
last month,
they announced services for the wealthy, because
for customers with a balance of financial assets of
10 million yen or more, they can receive services such as preferential interest rates on deposits.
And SMBC
も
also
starting with the V-Point partnership,
is expanding the Olive service that allows you to manage funds via apps, etc., aiming to acquire customers.
So, everyone's movements have become active since it became a world with interest rates. It feels like each bank is really fighting hard to get deposits. I wonder why.
はい
Yes.
Why are they fighting so hard to increase deposit acquisition? If you ask,
after all, one of the important sources of revenue for banks is the interest margin.
To put it simply, banks collect money from depositors like individuals and lend it out,
if there is an interest rate difference here, for something lent at 1% interest, at 3%
then this difference,
30,000 yen minus 10,000 yen, well, this is for 1 million yen,
the 20,000 yen difference becomes profit, and because there is such a mechanism, they want a lot of deposits.
However, from the viewer's and consumer's perspective, speaking of ways to manage money,
there are deposits, but there is also the option of investment. We asked people in town. Are you a deposit person or an investment person?
I don't know much about investment, so after all,
I can't start, so I end up only with deposits.
Your husband?
I don't think he's doing it. What if he is doing it?
It would be nice if there was some. If it accumulated. I might be happy if he told me, 'Actually...'. On the other hand, these people too,
I think it's 20% investment, 80% deposit. Yes, deposits are quite high.
Yes. After all, I think it's better to have assets that can be used immediately and are safe. So, I distribute it about 20%.
It's for normal retirement living expenses.
As for deposits, it's a regular savings account.
And then there is investment.
Right. Between normal and
ease of use, or rather, the fact that you can't withdraw it easily,
there is that aspect, so that is also
for retirement. And
a man living on a pension says
his investments are about 60% and savings are 40%. Thinking that this much should be enough,
with existing investments,
if it doesn't go up more, maybe I'll
do it more aggressively.
About
years ago, he started investing. His current assets are about 20 million. As for savings,
so stocks are not at 40 million.

it's not like I'm doing it that way, but considering my age, I should just take it out little by little and use it for things I like.
Yes, well, everyone really had different approaches to savings and investments, Mr. Yamazaki. Some people were successful, but I still have a scary image of investment. But everyone, back in the days when interest rates were high. Is that so? Fixed deposit interest rate 5
percent. Oh, is that so?
Well, that. But considering the current interest rates, I think
it might be good to get into investment. Well, that's right. After all,
compared to investment, these savings are funds that don't lose their principal, right?
And I mentioned that a battle is unfolding over those savings, but this is not just limited to major megabanks, but also regional banks, regional
banks are also putting effort into it.
For example, there is a product like this at a bank in Wakayama City.
It's called 'Supporting the Region with Everyone's Savings, Kairo Support Fixed Deposit,' and as someone who loves space, my heart is dancing.
Wow. Also, they are lined up, but the interest rate here is 0.6
percent, but as a point,
they donate an amount equivalent to 0.01 percent of the total amount deposited to organizations working on regional space promotion. And this has become a

leading product.
Surprisingly, the total amount deposited is here. 72.3 billion
yen, which is more than double the expectation, so 0.01 percent, 7.23 million
yen is going to donations for space, Mr. Yoshioka, how about
かおし
this
kind of deposit? Me, shrines and temples
shrines and temples that are struggling with financial difficulties. I would want to do it. That
exists. That's it, so, while we are now choosing banks proactively, what should we do? Honestly, I think it's a dilemma.
According to Kazufuku Teratomo, who holds a first-class financial planner qualification,
and is a deputy director of commentary,
since interest rates are currently rising, it is important to properly ride the wave of rising deposit interest rates,
and the possibility that types with even better interest rates will appear,
it is important to carefully assess this. Mr. Yamazaki, you have a stern face. In the end, there is no single correct answer. It is important to
choose at your own responsibility, right? That's right. It seems important to think about the future while considering the risks.
