The annual Art Colleone exhibition is being held again this year.
I'm looking forward to your masterpiece.
はい
Yes.
Hello.
です
It is.
よ
Right.
Hey.
How are you? Yeah, so.
What's up?
That's right.
Shibazaki is also, you know.
I thought I was feeling good today, but tomorrow, well, a little.
The weather gets bad, and it hurts a bit there, you know, there are some things like that.
Yes, but this is also part of being alive, you know.
うん
Yeah.
Well, even so, Shibazaki is going home energetically today too.
Thank you so much for always watching Shibazaki's videos.
Are the comments popular?
This really makes me the happiest.
はい
Yes.
さて
Well then.
Today, you see.
A little, you know.
Shibazaki is like this.
In my memories, you know.
I want to draw that kind of picture.
ね
You know.
Shibazaki's memories.
What kind of memories are there?
Well, please take your time and enjoy.
Well then, let's start drawing right away.
Today, you see.
Shibazaki's.
The scenery in my memory.
です
It is.
だから
So.
It's not exactly like this right now, but it's in Shibazaki's memory.
The scenery, you know.
Shibazaki is also.
Thanks to you, you know.
I've become years old, but.
Shibazaki's memory.
Yesterday's memory.
And the memory from a month ago.
The memory from 30 years ago.
The memory from before.
Going even further back, like the memory from 60 years ago.
There are so many, so many memories and recollections.
They're all piled up, you know.
How about you?
How many years of memories
do you have inside you?
ね
Right?
Well, that's Shibazaki for you,
but what I'm drawing now is a scene of kayabuki roofs.
よ
Yeah.
ね
Right?
もう
Well,
in Japan now, really,
何なん
what?
I suppose, in these preserved areas,
it's a scene with buildings you can't see unless it's a very special place.
But actually, Shibazaki lived in
a house like this.
If you ask how long I lived there,
that really takes us back to old memories.
Um, when Shibazaki was a student,
since it was back then,
twenty years old,
or maybe a little more, around that time.
So, during that period,
I lived in a house with a kayabuki roof like this,
and that still remains
as a quite vivid and living
memory.
Really, from early childhood,
you know, you don't forget things that happened around you, right?
Especially since I was still living in such a place even as an adult, so
memories like this always come back to me.
はい
Yes.
Kayabuki, you know,
この
this
kayabuki roof, as it's called, uses a lot of kaya grass to make the roof, right?
So, around Shibazaki's house too,
for making this kayabuki,
there was a dedicated
mountain of kaya grass.
The villagers managed it together.
Even now, if you go to the countryside, there are many farmhouses like this,
Japan has a lot of mountainous
land, and farmhouses standing in such places
are like this,
with thick trunks, you know,
standing with their backs to the mountains and facing south.
I wonder why that is.
Well, there are various reasons,
I think there are reasons for it,
but there are quite a few houses that stand
as if clinging to the mountainside.
After all, that's
A wide place, the best sun exposure, in a wide place
Make rice paddies
Work is also about growing
Because of that consideration, the house is attached to the base of the mountain, you see
Well, if you see it that way from now on
Please think about the lifestyle and style of those people in the past in that place
はい
Yes
Look, right here
Called odakake
The rice that was harvested
Made of bamboo, you know
I drew a state where the rice was hung and dried on a sort of scaffolding
はい
Yes
さあ
Now
It was gradually becoming a village
A large main house
On both sides
Putting various things in, well
Like a luxurious storehouse
それから
And then
Also, there are usually several attached buildings like workshops for storing various things
さ
Now
Then let's draw the front
Today's scenery is autumn
Well, it was hot this year too, but
It became autumn, didn't it
This place where the big house is located
The grass is beautifully turning yellow
It seems to be shining already
そして
And
The autumn torii gate
Gradually
People are living here
It's the happiest season for farmers
は
Yes
Ah, it's a shining autumn scenery
You probably like this kind of scenery too, right
Well, farmers are busy with work
This turning color, well
Grass and grass
Well, from now on
Do maintenance
To welcome winter
It's the season that is most, well, visually shining
That part is now being drawn like this
Something like this, maybe
Yes, yes
This part here, heading home
A little weeding
でも
But
It's a bright, shining yellow path.
Let's fly a little more.
Let's enjoy drawing it to the end.
はい
Yes.
Like this, it's the peak of the roof.
This kind of place is like this.
In the old days, you see.
They split bamboo.
And arranged it horizontally like this.
It was made to prevent rainwater from entering. Let's draw that part carefully.
While drawing it myself.
Something nostalgic.
Feelings really well up, don't they?
Surely you too.
Even if you're not like that.
I think your ancestors surely lived in a place like this.
Well, that.
It could be your father, or your grandfather, grandmother, or perhaps not your grandfather, not your grandmother.
I don't know what era, but I think they lived in a house like this.
That's the original Japanese landscape, and you have your own photos too, right?
さ
Now.
We fiddled around the house and gradually made it.
So, here.
Since the house is built.
Right here now.
We're doing some autumn trimming work.
Let's ask your father to do it.
さ
Now.
He's doing something.
ね
See.
What kind of work is it?
It's like this.
See, this is called 'odagake'. Yes.
さ
Now.

Something.
He's holding a picture book and doing some work.
See, there was a lot of green this year too.
Yes, what a wonderful landscape.
From now on, if you see a landscape like this.
Even if you don't have a kaya roof now, please look with your thoughts clear.
