Why did it happen? In Anjo City, it has been raining since the 4th of this month, and the rainfall has reached nearly 400 millimeters.
This means that 1.5 times the amount of rain that usually falls in the entire month of September has fallen in less than 10 days.
It is said that landslides are more likely to occur when the cumulative rainfall exceeds 100 millimeters,
and this time it has far exceeded that. Anjo City has issued evacuation orders to 7 people in 3 surrounding households.
There are no reports of injuries.
It is said that such landslides may occur in various parts of the country in the future.
The autumn rain front will remain stagnant near the main island next week, and since there has been record-breaking rainfall over a wide area of the country, it seems necessary to be cautious about landslides for a while.
