This is Gosan-maru Tenki-maru. Yes, I will report.
Ms. Saitazawa, the blue sky in Kanto today after such a long time was delightful, wasn't it? You can finally hang out the laundry that had piled up. I think it must have dried perfectly.
Looking at the daytime hours here in Kanto,
there were many places with over 8 hours of sunshine,
and for Tokyo, this is the first time in about three weeks that there has been this much sunshine. It's been that many weeks, hasn't it? Yes, it really was a long-awaited sunshine.
On the other hand, looking at the northern regions, there wasn't much sunshine today either,
and there were places like Akita that had zero hours of sunshine during the day.
It is still raining there today.
Looking at the radar, rain is covering a wide area outside of Kanto, and in places like Tohoku, since yesterday,
there are areas that have exceeded [a certain amount of] millimeters. And at this hour, there are some places in western Japan where it is raining heavily.
And this rain will continue tomorrow as well,
and it looks like it will rain again in Kanto tomorrow. It was truly a precious sunny day. Yes, that seems to be the case.
Including Tokyo, it will rain over a wide area tomorrow as well.
The rainy season front that was on the Sea of Japan side today will move south again tomorrow and settle firmly over Honshu.
Because of this, there will likely be places where it rains heavily locally.
Looking at the rain forecast, after 6 PM, especially in the northern part of Tohoku,
the rain is likely to intensify. The rainfall amount is expected to increase again.
And as the date changes into tomorrow, substantial rain clouds will cover Kanto and Tokai as well.
During the morning commute, there will likely be places in Kanto where the rain intensifies.
And even after the daytime hours, the rain clouds will remain over the area.
Well, even if it doesn't become record-breaking heavy rain like last week,
it will intensify intermittently,
and there may be localized heavy downpours. There is also a risk of warning-level heavy rain. Yes, considering that there has been a lot of rain lately and the ground is loose,
I would like you to be cautious again about landslides and such.
Now, a new typhoon is likely to form.
This tropical depression is likely to become Typhoon No. 25 by tomorrow, and its path has been projected,
passing through the Ogasawara Islands
on Friday,
and after the weekend,
it looks like it will head toward Okinawa with strong force. There are really many typhoons, is this the [number] one approaching Okinawa this year?
That's right. On average, there are usually about 6 by this time of year, so it seems there are indeed more than usual.
Regarding the Silver Week, it looks like there will be an impact from the typhoon, starting with Okinawa.
