A story called Thomas and the Giraffe
島しまには楽たのしくなれる場所ばしょがとてもたくさんある
There are so many fun places on the island
しかも今日きょうは特別とくべつな日ひだった
And today was a special day
島しまに新あたらしい動物園どうぶつえんがオープンするのだ
A new zoo was opening on the island
そこはとても広ひろく

動物どうぶつたちものんびりと過すごせる場所ばしょだった
and a place where the animals could relax
機関車きかんしゃたちもみんなとてもワクワクしていた
The engines were all very excited
トーマスはブレンダムの港みなとにやってきた

動物園どうぶつえんのことを考かんがえると嬉うれしくて仕方しかたがなかった
He couldn't help being happy thinking about the zoo

But he wanted to help Thomas

そんな必要ひつようないってキリンさんは僕ぼくの言ゆうことだって聞きく

Puffing steam, Thomas ran hard and finally made it back to the zoo
