Well, the toppings, noodles, and soup were all high quality and really delicious, and the ramen that defines the flavor of shio ramen was outstanding.

Hi, I'm SUSURU.
As part of my daily ramen healthy lifestyle, which I'm still keeping up,
This time I went to slurp ramen in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, and Inuyama City is home to, you know, last year's most delicious shio ramen
There's a shop called Seimen Misaku, and this time I'm of course going to Misaku, but besides Misaku, there's another shop in Inuyama City I've been curious about, and that's a shop called Menya Ito, and since I'm going all the way to Misaku, I wanted to visit Menya Ito as well,
So this time we'll bring you two spots in Inuyama City. Ito
is of course my first time there so I'm simply looking forward to it, and for Misaku, recalling that vivid memory from last year, I'm wondering how it has evolved this year,
There are also various new menu items, so I'm planning to slurp those as well.
Please watch until the very end.
So, that's it for the end.
Now, let's go slurp.
Let's go.
Hello.
Today I'm in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture.
In Inuyama City, there's a ramen shop I ate at just last year that was the best.
That shop is Seimen Misaku, and today I'm going to Seimen Misaku,
but there are other ramen shops in Inuyama City that I've been curious about, so I'd like to visit one of those as well.
If I'm coming here, I'll eat the best ramen in Inuyama City.
Very simple.
This place is very simple, isn't it.
We're going to Misaku, right?
はい。
Yes.
And before that, I thought I'd do a little warm-up with one bowl of ramen.
Warm-up?
I've never really heard of a ramen warm-up.
Well, let me just get a little running start.
This guy is acting a bit strange.
What do you mean, warm-up?
Well, if you're going to Inuyama, Misaku is great, but I want you to go to Menya Ito too.
Menya Ito.
We've been getting a lot of requests for it.
はい。
Yes.
Well, this is a shop we have to visit.
I see.
はい。
Yes.
What kind of shop is Menya Ito?
Menya Ito serves simple seafood combined with chicken, pork, and other animal-based broths, with white shoyu and black shoyu chukasoba, and their chicken paitan has been quite popular lately.
So they have limited-time menus too.
They're waiting for us.
It looks like a simple shop, but you can feel its unchanging skill.
Desperate.
Well, it was on our homework list, of course, of course.
We're definitely going to Misaku, but before that I want a warm-up — whether Ito will lead into the ultimate ramen. Ah,
That's right.
I wonder.
Yes, thank you.
Uh, so we've arrived at Menya Ito.
This is also a very popular shop in Inuyama City.
Well, last time I came to Misa... I wanted to eat here, but well, this time I finally got to visit again.
I'm really looking forward to it.
Here too.
Let's move on right away.
Let's go.
Now seated at Menya Ito.
This time I pushed for one of their signature menu items, the Ajitama Shiro Shoyu Ramen made with white soy sauce.
Once seated at the counter, I can't help but be curious about the recommended extra menu.
This combination is already telling me to eat it soon.
I'll ponder while eating ramen.
So I'll put that on hold for now and look forward to the ramen arriving.
Here is Menya Ito's Ajitama Shiro Shoyu Ramen.
Ta-daan.
A neat visual with two kinds of chashu, menma, chopped onion and more on a clear soup.
The pale color unique to white soy sauce is also appetizing, so let's dig in right away.
First, let's take a sip of the soup.
What punch.
Despite its clear appearance, one sip reveals a thick, powerful umami spreading soup.
They say domestic chicken and pork are simmered slowly for about 7 hours, layered with seafood and dried fish umami, each flavor coming together in harmony.
Furthermore, the kaeshi centered on white soy sauce stands out, with sweetness followed by the soup's umami spreading intensely.
The balance is also superb.
Thinking this makes me want to keep going with the spoon, next let's lift the noodles from that soup and eat.
Let's do it.
Lifting the gently waved medium-thin noodles, alright, let's slurp.
Kyoto
They use custom noodles from Menya Teigaku in Kyoto, with a smooth slippery surface and pleasantly firm bite when chewed.
The slurping feel is excellent itself, carrying the soup's umami crisply along,
the richness of chicken and pork, the aroma of seafood, and the sweetness of white soy sauce spread as one, conveying the soup's great cohesion even more.
With a wide-ranging flavor that lightly exceeds expectations,
I'm now slurping at full speed, not just warming up, so let's also reach for the two kinds of chashu here.
First trying the chicken chashu, it's moistly and softly finished with a nice balance.
The seasoning itself is mild but brings out the umami of the chicken breast, and it blends wonderfully with the soup.
It's a splendid topping.
And then biting into this low-temperature cooked pork shoulder loin, it's a juicy finish that locks in the meat's moisture.
A chashu where the meat's umami and the fat's sweetness spread the more you chew.
You can enjoy different flavors from chicken and pork, and they raise the overall quality of the ramen.
Also the thickly cut menma is an item with great texture
and the crunchy texture of the chopped onion works as an accent, each a nice topping showing exquisite work.
Finally biting into the ajitama, the seasoned white and the rich half-soft yolk are excellent.
At this point, you want more ajitama, right.
That's right, so I ended up ordering an extra ajitama as kaedama.
So while enjoying the remaining soup and waiting, it arrived in no time.
Here is Menya Ito's Aedama with chicken oil. Yahoo.
A visual of thin noodles tossed with chicken oil and sauce, topped with finely cut chashu.
Confirming the fragrant aroma wafting up, let's dig in right away.
First to mix it all together I simply stirred it, then checked the noodles dyed in the sauce's color.
Pulling this up in a big bunch, alright, let's slurp.
Irresistible.
The aroma and richness of chicken oil layered with the sauce's umami, crossed by the chunky chashu mixed in, like crosstown traffic.
The well-seasoned aedama is satisfying enough to eat on its own,
It fully delivers satisfaction as an extra dish.
What's more, you can also slurp it together with the ramen soup,
enjoying the change in flavor, and it's great to be able to savor a different expression of the noodles from the ramen. I love it.
And so, after firmly taking the direct attack of the soup-coated noodles head-on,
I drank up all the remaining soup, finishing the first bowl of the day completely.
です。
That's it.
I slurped it up very deliciously.
The white soy sauce soup layering chicken and pork umami with seafood and dried scallop flavor has dashi, kaeshi, and noodles harmonized at a high level,
It's a high-quality bowl far beyond imagination.
Well then, thank you for the meal.
I came to Menya Ito, and it was delicious.
The soup, well,
The first sip had quite a sweetness, probably from the white soy sauce, the umami of the kaeshi and tare hits you first, and then the base soup, this is really, really powerful.
Chicken, pork and seafood,
with kombu and nori,

saltiness.
It was finished as a bowl where you can feel the saltiness and the umami of the base ingredients, the soup was really delicious.
The noodles are thin salt noodles made by Kyoto's Menya Teigaku, and they go very well with the soup, and the toppings were also flawless.
Two kinds of chicken and low-temperature cooked pork, and the toppings, and both the noodles and soup were high quality and properly delicious.
And for the ae-dama, as I mentioned, this time on the owner's recommendation I also added the bonito ae-dama.
The ae-dama also had a fairly simple flavor, which I think was very good for eating together with the soup.
The umami of bonito and chicken, and in the second half the seafood umami of this soup gets much stronger, eating it combined was quite good for me.
Well, I'm happy to have already eaten high-quality ramen in Inuyama, and next I'll be visiting Seimen Misaku.
I'm really looking forward to that.
Today is just the best.
I've already had the best bowl, so,
I already feel like the mission is cleared, but from here I'll head next to Misaku with full force.
I've arrived at Seimen Misaku.
My first visit in about a year, I want to fully enjoy it again this time, so for the first bowl
I ordered the shio ramen, and for the second bowl the tsukemen, with soy sauce for the tsukemen.
So, I've come inside the shop.
Even though I just came last year, it feels like it's been so long, it's not really a place you can come to casually, but since I can have tsukemen this time I'm super excited, and I almost want to come just for the rice dishes, really.

While letting my feelings for those rice dishes build, I peek into the kitchen,

I waited, looking forward to the long-awaited moment of meeting.

The endlessly clear salt soup is topped with chashu, scallops, wontons and more, a luxurious yet dignified visual.
It's even more refined than last time, so let's dig in right away.
First, a sip of the soup.
So damn good.
The rich umami of chicken layered with depth from seafood dashi, a great soup that resonates down to your throat from the first sip.

and the sharpness of the salt tare become a trinity, creating an overwhelming bowl from the very first sip.
With that, I'm way too excited for the noodles, so next up is the noodle lift.

It's amazing to be able to enjoy the charm of Nagoya Cochin not just in the soup but also as meat.

No, I went to Seimen Misaku, but I had to hurry back, so I got on the train right away and came back to the hotel, and I'm filming, but it was insanely delicious.
Well, last time I ate, the shio ramen was made with a soup of Nagoya Cochin only, and now it's combined with seafood, hamaguri dashi, so I wondered how it evolved, but it's really great.
It keeps the goodness from last time while having dashi depth and strength, it's truly like watching the taste of shio ramen, terrifyingly delicious, and after all
The noodles are delicious, anyway, after all Seimen Misaku.
As the name Seimen Misaku suggests, they put a lot of effort into homemade noodles, so the combination of noodles and soup is wonderful first, and the toppings, each and every item was delicious, but the chicken chashu with a quick charcoal grill before serving, that was delicious again, that chicken is amazing, the skin

In texture and delicious
All the chicken was delicious, and the rice bowl, I was wondering whether to order it, but I wanted to eat the rice bowl with the soup, so I had the seared chashu negi-shio rice, that had the sweetness of green onion and plenty of chunky seared chashu, satisfying and very delicious. And the tsukemen, this time for the first time, I had the shoyu tsukemen, and the moment I ate the noodles I was shocked, it's incredible, those tsukemen noodles, fluffy and soft, really like.
Like a fluffy texture, with a bit of softness yet a fresh, chewy texture, just slurping one noodle tells you this is no ordinary thing, wonderful finish, and that kombu water, well, called kombu water but more like dipping sauce, that kombu water was too delicious, the kombu water itself is quite seasoned, like cold udon dipping sauce, that was insanely good, shocking. But of course, you can dip it with the kombu water into the dipping soup, or just eat the noodles with the dipping soup alone, and though it looks like a lot is on it, the way to eat is very simple, I think, not busy feeling at all, and the tsukemen-exclusive toppings, the meats too, fully labored, and no, I think it's satisfying enough to pay this price, of course I understand that ramen should be at this price, I really get that, but it's like opening a new era, only those who like it need go, this kind of shop, really both quality and satisfaction, a wonderful shop.
In the Tokai area, I think it's a top-class shop.
This is a shop I'd really recommend to ramen lovers.

In Japan, I went all out with 85 ramen in Inuyama at Menya Ito and Seimen Misaku.
We ate quite a bit. 2
It was two places, but we consulted at Ito and at Misaku we had ramen, rice dishes, and tsukemen, quite a hearty feast, so even with just two places, I was super satisfied.
I was so full that I was still full that night, it was that satisfying.
Of course that satisfaction was partly from eating a lot, but both shops were really delicious and it felt like my heart was fulfilled.
Menya and, well, Inuyama City, we went right away, and it was kind of like a warm-up, Ito was also really delicious.
And Misaku, well this was my second time, but it has evolved even further since the last time I ate there, and of course the prices have gone up too, so I think the staff were concerned about that, but with that quality, it's totally fine.
No matter how high the price goes, I just want them to pursue deliciousness, and the staff are still...
Everyone, the ramen industry is full of young talent, and honestly I think both the miso and the salt are at a top-three-in-Japan level of deliciousness, and the tsukemen I had this time was amazing too, and the combination of the kombu water and those noodles — first of all their homemade noodles are incredibly delicious, and with the kombu water, well, it's like a dashi, like a noodle dipping broth, but even just that was so delicious, so even though it was my second visit, it gave me a whole new感动, I really thought Misaku is amazing, and I'm curious about Ito-san's other menu items too, so I want to go eat ramen in Inuyama City again, right now I think Inuyama is really hot within Aichi Prefecture, so with that, let me introduce some comments I got from you all, the topic: 'Even slightly dirty jokes in comments have become something SUSURU won't forgive, do something about it'
Like I won't forgive them
Has it become like that
Well, certainly, looking back at old videos, there were always comments like 'is your face slurping too?' or something like that, and basically I think people can write whatever they like in the comments, things they thought about the video, or of course recommended ramen shops, or what they think about the recent ramen industry.
I think you can write whatever you like, well that's kind of a streamer's fate, and of course I think there are people who get hurt by comments, but what makes me happiest, from a streamer’s perspective, is simply supportive comments, really, viewers who watch the videos every day and leave supportive comments
are truly the most important, the ones I have to cherish, and of course I think there are people who watch without commenting, just watching every day
I want to cherish those people too, and this
is something that kind of applies to ramen shops too, like there are people like me who go to shops and upload videos, or people who post impressions with photos, there are lots of those people, but the most important thing is the big fans who live nearby and come three or four times a week, who don't say anything, don't take photos, just eat and go home, many ramen shops say they're supported by those kinds of people, of course having media people or celebrities come for a TV shoot
is also really great, but the number one is the regular customers who always come, so I also, like a ramen shop, this
I’ve ended up sounding like a ramen shop, sorry about that.
But even so, I really think this applies not just to ramen shops but to every industry.
I want to cherish the customers who always watch, that's what I think.

Um, well there's Meiji University, which is my alma mater, if I can call it that, Meiji University has the Izumi Campus, the Surugadai Campus, and the Ikuta Campus, and now maybe the Nakano Campus?
When I was enrolled, I think Nakano probably didn't exist yet.
I have an image that a new faculty was created, and that's how the Nakano Campus was made.
Why, I've never once gone to that Surugadai Campus.
Really
Well, that so-called, well, Izumi repeating a year, where up to second year there's a certain number of credits you have to earn,
Well, if you don't reach this number of credits, you can't move up from Izumi Campus to Surugadai Campus, well from Meidaimae to Ochanomizu, to this campus over here.
Meiji students call this Izumi repeating.
It's like, you really can't call yourself a Meiji student, honestly.
Well, I was enrolled for four years of course and I only earned 8 credits in total, overall.
I had to earn about 130 credits in total, but I only got 8 of them, so of course Suruga
I couldn't go to the Surugadai Campus, the Ochanomizu campus, and well, I wasn't really going to Izumi Campus properly either, and in the second half of my second year I took a leave of absence from university, like let's take a break for a bit
End.
It was really stupid, like
Thinking about it now, it's like you don't have time to be taking a break, but well I just wasted it like a summer vacation of my life, and before I knew it a huge library had been built on the Izumi Campus
Now, well, I think it's probably been about 10 years since it was built so it's totally normal now, but a huge library was built right on the right side just after entering the university, and that was being built right while I was enrolled, but I didn't even notice any sign of it being constructed. I went to Momijiya all the time though, that Jiro-style ramen shop right near the university, Momijiya.
When I was in university I got hooked on Ramen Jiro and often went to the direct Jiro shops, but I lived in Nishieifuku, 2 stations from Meidaimae, so I searched around for a good Jiro-style place nearby, and as a result I got really hooked on this Momijiya, it's even said in some circles that I went there more than to university, I went there a lot, like when I was on leave and when I wasn't going to university, university, well.
I seriously barely went, so honestly I don't really know.
University, really really.
I mean, it's already more than 10 years ago, like about 15 years ago.
I might be turning 34 this year.
It's already my 11th year since I started YouTube, so time really flies.
